In May 2013, Walt Disney World® Golf, operated by Arnold Palmer Golf Management, introduced the Players Club membership program for Orlando Area residents. For a low monthly fee, members gained access to daily golf clinics taught by Michael Schlager our PGA Director of Instruction, unlimited driving range access and discounted fees to play our four golf courses.
The program is essentially like a “gym membership for your golf game”. You can participate in the daily golf clinics, practice at the ranges and then take your refined skills out on the golf courses.
Almost three years later, the program has been a great success. We are also announcing an expansion of the Central Florida region where residents are eligible to participate and a shift in the days when clinics are scheduled to make member access easier.
When we introduced the program, the following five Central Florida counties were included: Orange, Lake, Osceola, Polk and Seminole. We are expanding the eligible geographic area to include Volusia and Brevard counties.
The daily golf clinics were originally scheduled from Monday through Friday. We have shifted the clinic schedule by one day to Tuesday through Saturday. This is designed to assist member participation in the clinics by making Saturdays available for those that are otherwise busy during the regular workweek.
Key benefits under the Membership Program include:
- $29 (plus tax) per month membership fee. Join now for 11 months and get 1 month free.
- Free daily instructional clinics, Tuesday through Saturday.
- Free greens fees during member designated access times, with only a cart fee of $15 for play at Disney’s Magnolia, Disney’s Palm and Disney’s Lake Buena Vista golf courses. There is a $10 fee at Disney’s Oak Trail golf course.
- Up to a 3 day advanced reservation required for membership-discounted fees.
- Free and unlimited driving range, range ball and practice facilities access.
- Up to 3 Guests may join the member at Orlando area resident rates during designated member access times.
- Family members of the player can join the Players Club for a discounted monthly fee of only $19 per month.
- 20% discount on food and soft drink purchases (alcohol and tobacco not included)
