Looking for a Fun Family Outing, Group Activity or Corporate Event? Play a Round of FootGolf at Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course!
In 2018, we at Arnold Palmer Golf Management introduced the game of FootGolf on Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course, our 9-hole walking course. In the years since, the game’s popularity has grown tremendously, as a new activity for players of all skill levels. At its heart, the game requires only basic skills, essentially just the ability to kick a soccer ball around the course.
What is FootGolf? This fun sport combines the characteristics of both golf and soccer. The rules of the game are very similar to golf, with course features such as tee boxes, bunkers and other challenges, though there are no direct water hazards to carry. The primary activity is to kick a soccer ball from the tee box to a green which contains a larger, 21-inch diameter cup, marked by an orange flag. The cup sized such that the soccer ball can fall fully into the cup, just like a golf ball would into regular golf cup. As with regular golf, there is a mix of par 3, 4 and 5 holes and the goal is to use as few kicks as possible to hole out. The game is also designed for quick play, with 9 holes typically played by a foursome in about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Our 9-Hole FootGolf course is Certified by the American FootGolf League (AFGL), the governing body for the sport of FootGolf in the United States.
FootGolf play is currently available after 5:00 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays and dress for FootGolf is like regular golf, with turf/soccer shoes (no cleats) or supportive athletic shoes. You are welcome to bring your own soccer ball or use one of ours! You also have the option of a complimentary, same-day replay round, based upon availability, after finishing your first round and checking in with the pro shop.
Do you already play FootGolf with us frequently? Consider joining the free FootGolf Kicker’s Club! Check in at the pro shop for a frequent player’s card and then be sure to have the card stamped in the pro shop when you check in for each round. Get 5 stamps on your card within a 90-day period and get your 6th round free!
