Looking For A Fun Family, Group or Team Building Activity? Play A Round of FootGolf at Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course!
Seven years ago, we introduced the game of FootGolf on Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course, our 9-hole walking course. Since then, the game’s popularity has exploded as a new group opportunity for players of all ages and skill levels. At its heart, the game requires only basic skills, essentially just the ability to kick a soccer ball.
What is FootGolf? This fun sport combines the characteristics of both golf and soccer. The rules of the game are very similar to golf, with course features such as tee boxes, bunkers and other challenges, though there are no direct water hazards to carry. The primary activity is to kick a soccer ball from the tee box to a green which contains a larger, 21-inch diameter cup, marked by an orange flag, and is sized such that the soccer ball can fall into the cup, just like a golf ball would into a much smaller hole. As with golf, there is a mix of par 3, 4 and 5 holes and the goal is to use as few kicks as possible to hole out. The game is also designed for quick play, with 9 holes typically played by a foursome in about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Our 9-Hole FootGolf course is Certified by the American FootGolf League (AFGL), the governing body for the sport of FootGolf in the United States. You do have the option of a complimentary, same-day replay round, based upon availability, after finishing your first round and checking in with the pro shop.
FootGolf play is currently available after 5:00 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays and dress for FootGolf is similar to regular golf, with turf/soccer shoes or supportive athletic shoes. You are welcome to bring your own soccer ball or use one of ours!
Do you already play FootGolf with us frequently? Consider joining the free FootGolf Kicker’s Club! Check in at the pro shop for a free membership card, and then be sure to have the card stamped in the pro shop when you check in for each round. Get 5 stamps on your card within a 90-day period, and get your 6th round free!
