Walt Disney World® Golf Hosting Youth On Course for Third Straight Year!
At Walt Disney World® Golf, we are always looking for ways to expand access to the game that we love, especially for junior golfers who may otherwise lack that access.
With that continuing goal in mind, we are proud to announce that Youth on Course will be returning for the third year. Youth on Course is a non-profit organization that began in 2006 on the west coast through the Northern California Golf Association (NCGA). The NCGA identified a critical need for course access for junior golfers and started a model program to provide that access to play the Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach and five other courses in the local area for only $5 per round.
Youth on Course’s continued focus is to eliminate the barriers facing junior golfers due to the costs of playing golf at local courses. Through its associations with local Allied Golf Associations and golf courses, Youth on Course now provides access for almost 250,000 junior members, ages 18 and under, at over 2,100 golf courses across the United States, Canada and Australia, for $5 or less per round. In late 2024, Youth on Course hit a new benchmark, with members having played over four million rounds of golf since 2006.
In addition to the on-course access program, Youth on Course provides off-course opportunities for career preparation, paid summer internship and caddie programs, leadership skill development, and even college scholarship programs.
These benefits to junior golfers are made possible by the passion and generosity of committed partners, including corporate donors, golf courses and allied golf associations, who want to see young people succeed, both on and off the golf course.
Walt Disney World® Golf will be supporting Youth on Golf with a discounted rate program available at Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course, our family-friendly, 9-hole walking course, from May 1st to December 31st, after 11:00 am daily. A round of golf will be available for $5 per junior member of the Youth on Course program.
More information on the Youth on Course program is available on their website, including annual membership information, frequently asked questions, information on their off-course programs, and financial support opportunities.
If you have a junior golfer and they have wanted to play our courses, but face various challenges in doing so, we invite you to consider having them join Youth on Course to take advantage of this program.
We look forward to welcoming Youth on Course members to "The Happiest Place on TURF!"
