New “Hidden Mickey’s” Are Coming To Disney's Lake Buena Vista And Disney's Oak Trail Golf Courses!

The Mickey Mouse Bunker, located greenside at the par-3, 6th hole, at Disney's Magnolia Golf Course, may be one of the most iconic, and perhaps most photographed, bunkers in all of golf. Known as a "Hidden Mickey", it has served as a unique characteristic for us and our Guests for over 45 years. There are players that will deliberately attempt to hit their tee shot short of the green, into the bunker, just so that they can say that they hit out of the Mickey Mouse Bunker, and perhaps, even get up and down from there.

In August of 2017, Walt Disney World® Golf, operated by Arnold Palmer Golf Management, rebuilt this iconic bunker, using newer techniques and materials, to ensure that this landmark lasts well into the future.

This summer, to bring more "Mickey Magic" to our courses, we will be constructing new Mickey Mouse shaped bunkers at Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course and at Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course.

The location of the bunker at Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course has not yet been finalized, but the Mickey Mouse bunker will likely be added to the finishing 9th hole at Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course.

We plan to take numerous photographs of the construction process, and possibly even some time-lapse video of it. We plan on sharing these in a future blog post, so stay tuned!

We continue to raise the bar on what it means to experience the Magic of Walt Disney World® Golf for our Guests and look forward to welcoming you all to the "Happiest Place on TURF!"
