Walt Disney World® Golf Completes Major Updates To Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course

Walt Disney World® Golf, operated by Arnold Palmer Golf Management, recently completed a major refurbishment to Disney’s Magnolia golf course as part of our commitment to a multi-year upgrade and modernization program for the Walt Disney World® golf courses.

This past summer and fall, Disney’s Magnolia golf course closed for several weeks and received substantial updates to all 18 holes and the surrounding grounds.

The updates included:

  • Bunker reshaping and the re-sodding of bunker faces
  • Improvements to bunker drainage with new underground drainage pipes
  • Replacement of the dated grey bunker sand with new pristine white sand
  • The extensive removal of about 80 trees
  • The repaving of select cart paths

We are very excited and pleased with the results of this extensive work on this storied course and the feedback from our Guests has been exceptional.

In 2013, Disney’s Palm golf course underwent a significant, course-wide architectural update under the expert guidance of the Arnold Palmer Design Company. The renovation was recognized by Golf Inc. magazine, taking second place in the public golf course category in their 2015 Renovation of the Year awards. We are very proud of the recognition and what the on-going course improvements mean to our Guests in terms of their enjoyment and the quality of their experience.

The multi-year upgrade program is scheduled to continue in years to come, with improvements to Disney’s Lake Buena Vista golf course, so stay tuned!

If you have not played Disney’s Magnolia course in some time, we invite you to come and enjoy the new experience at the “Happiest Place on TURF!”
